Adams Handmade Soap is your local soapmaker in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina and serves the larger local area of Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Apex, Holly Springs, Cary and other surrounding cities.

We are a family owned and operated business, specializing in, you guessed it,  handmade soap.  We currently do not have a retail store dedicated to our soaps but will be offering our products at local farmer's markets, including the Raleigh Farmer's Market, and flea markets as well as offering local retailers the opportunity to carry our product and, of course, be offering them online as well.

At Adams Handmade Soap we are proud to provide handmade soap with unique beauty and premium quality.  We use the time-honored, cold-process method of soap making.  All the soaps we offer are handmade, from scratch,  and we never use pre-manufactured soap in any of our products.  In a culture of factory made goods, it is tempting for any company to participate in machine based manufacturing or, as a soap maker, we could more easily make soap by simply melting pre-manufactured soap and pouring it into molds (a fun hobby, but terrible soap).  When purchasing electronic items or a computer, one would hope that they were not "handmade" due to the precision that is required and the need for consistency, but even then, you would want quality parts, not junk.  When it is time to purchase soap, do we require a perfectly oval pressed soap bar that is full of unnecessary chemicals and inferior components?  At Adams Handmade Soap, we don't believe so, and it is industry standard for soap manufacturers to strip from the original soap it's natural glycerin content which is beneficial to the skin.  To make matters worse, most manufactured soaps are made from beef fat (tallow) which makes a hard bar of soap but has virtually no skin benefits in the first place.  Companies that do not use beef fat, however, still use the same "stripping" and over-processing methods of machine manufacturing.  Finally, a manufacturer must add chemicals to preserve the soap (or increase the pH) so the soap can be shipped all over the country and sit on grocery store shelves for extended periods.  Then, it is no wonder that so many suffer from dry skin and other problems.
